Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**RIP SWEET MARBLES** ... "Marbles" is a beautiful senior female Calico kitty who was surrendered by her owner on March 4, 2016 and recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with us.
"Marbles" has a brown/orange/white short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with hopeful, trusting eyes. This sweet little lady is a real dollbaby and has the most lovable, affectionate personality.
"Marbles" has been enjoying the freedom of our 'Senior Kitty Room' since last summer and has many nice comfy beds and is served gourmet meals by our compassionate kennels each day. She has all of the comforts of home and dearly loves her two best friends (Carla and Minnie Pearl) who are also residents of our Senior Kitty Room. The girls also enjoy the company of two good-looking guys (Onyx and Chief who are of course neutered) who also share the spacious room with them.
"Marbles" has been spayed and is up-to-date on vaccinations. She was given rabies vaccine on May 4, 2016. "Marbles" isn't a very large kitty. She weighed 7.8 lbs. on that date and was estimated to be 10-years old.
UPDATE: We were heartbroken when we made the difficult decision this morning (May 13, 2017) that the time had come to let Marbles peacefully pass away after it was apparent that she was experiencing renal failure. Her quality of life had diminished rapidly in the past several days, and we did not want her to suffer :( Marbles had been loved by our shelter staff, kennel techs, and volunteers since we first met her on March 4, 2016. She enjoyed the freedom of our Senior Kitty Room for the past year where she had comfy beds, gourmet meals, and the companionship of several other senior HSOV kitties. Marbles took a piece of our heart with her this morning, and she knew that she was cherished and loved
