Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***5/18/17 - ADOPTION PENDING!***
Meet Cocoa! Cocoa is a 6 year old female border collie. We have her listed as special needs because she is a 3 legged canine. A 3 legged canine with a glorious border collie tail! Cocoa weighs approximately 35 pounds.
Cocoa's owner was giving her away for free on Craigslist because he said he didn't have enough time to care for her. IDAWG stepped in and asked if we could bring her into our program and here she is. Her foster famiily can't say enough good things about this little girl.
This is a most devoted dog. She is said to be good with children and is used to being around them. She is good with other dogs, but when they get in her face she grumbles at them. We have no idea how Cocoa is with cats.
She loves to be wherever her people are, either indoors or outside. Other than the grumbling when another dog gets in her face, she is a quiet dog that rarely barks. She is housetrained, crate trained and enjoys riding in the car She knows her basic obedience and is good both on and off leash.
This is a moderate energy dog that enjoys hanging out with her family. She would be great for a senior citizen. She doesn't ask much. Just to be loved!
If you are interested in possibly adopting Cocoa, please complete an application located here: http://www.adoptapet.com/IDAWG/adoption-application/
Cocoa's adoption fee is $150. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and will come with a collar and ID tag.
