Joanne's Story...
Joanne is an 18-month old spayed female schnauzer and poodle mix. She is a silky soft no shed dog who came into the shelter matted and dirty. Joanne is doing well in her foster home. She is a little tentative, but very friendly with everyone and good with the other dogs. She loves to snuggle in her foster’s lap. She weights 13 pounds. It's pretty clear that she has never been bathed or groomed and will need to get used to it so that she can look and feel her best. She's eager to please and seems bright. She walks pretty well on a leash and should be pretty easy to train. If you are interested in Joanne, please call Terri at 925.417.1180 to talk about the home you can provide for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joanne, a Pleasanton Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Pleasanton, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Pleasanton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pleasanton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pleasanton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pleasanton paves the way for another one to be saved.
