Meet Chewy, a very special 10 month old boy who greets each new day with joy and enthusiasm like no other! Chewy was rescued from a shelter where he was surrendered by his owners just hours before he was to be put down. At a young age, Chewy became paralyzed in his hind legs due to Osteochondroma, but this has never stopped him. Through exercising in his cart, swimming, leg massages, good food, and plenty of love, he has rehabilitated his hind legs to be able to move again. When he is not in his cart, Chewy scoots around by pulling himself using his front legs. He loves to run outside, and when strapped into his cart he can really get moving. Chewy is fantastic around other people, children, and especially other dogs. He loves to play and explore, and his positivity and playfulness around others is incredibly refreshing. Affection and interaction are what motivate Chewy, and they are what make him the incredible dog that he is.
