Bert's Story...
Bert and Ernie were found, dumped in a box behind a shed. They were barely hanging on at only 4-5 weeks old. It has been 5 weeks since then, and they are now happy, healthy boys! We do not adopt siblings out together, so they will each need to find their awesome forever family.

Bert is just as cute as can be. He is a little more Golden than his brother Ernie. Both Bert and Ernie as social, sweet pups. Bert loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back to get them. He is great with other dogs and plays very well. When he isn't playing he loves to be snuggles up on the couch with his foster momma or on the doggy bed with his brother. As far as puppies go, these are pretty easy and super loving. We would love to see Bert go to a home with a family that has lots of time to spend with him, and has a lot of love to give. Bert would also be a great adventure/hiking buddy since he will be a medium to large dog. Since Bert already has such a great personality, we would love to make sure his forever family continues his training and socialization so he continues to learn and grow.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bert, a Boulder Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
