Facts about Case- IN SHELTER ONE YEAR

  • Breed: Manchester Terrier/Chow Chow Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Case hails from Georgia. He's adorable, friendly, very quiet. Clean in his kennel but will over mark when outside. Great in the car, is strong on a leash but is extremely intelligent and is a quick study. He is taking correction very well! He met some kids ages 2-5 and though he was great, we think that maybe he was just a little nervous around them. He might be the type that likes older kids so he can jog along side their bikes! He showed interest when I threw the ball but didn't run for it yet. He seems to like white female dogs and played nicely but not sure if that would continue. A socialization class would probably benefit him. Case IS heartworm possitive and is in the final stage of completing treatment.
This pup is great with kids age 8+.

Fully vetted which means: altered, rabies, distemper, bordetella, heart worm test, fecal test, dewormed and microchip.
Adoption fee is $385.

About Brass City Rescue Alliance

About Our Rescue Group...

We aim to get as many dogs and cats adopted as possible via our rescue. We have our own shelter and also several feline foster homes to lovingly care for our animals prior to placement. We provide veterinary care, behavioral assessments and training to make each animal successful in its new forever home.

During warmer months we collect food, toys and other needs for the impounded dogs and the rescued/adopted dogs. We also collect items for the dogs we rescue as well as vetting donations for their care while in rescue. We network for dogs at local shelters and lend a hand to our rescue friends whenever we can. We also advocate for the well being of the dogs and their living conditions and strive to better improve the long standing customer service issues at the Waterbury Dog Pound as well as other shelters. We also help the public with questions, training, referrals/paying for veterinary care etc. Through constant media promotion and proper assessments of the dogs, we hope to save as many lives as possible in our day to day mission.

This RESCUE group is CT registered and has APPROVED 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to Brass City Rescue Alliance are tax deductible.

Organizations that meet the requirements of Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) are exempt from federal income tax as charitable organizations. In addition, contributions made to charitable organizations by individuals and corporations are deductible under Code section 170.

Our Adoption Process...

When a potential adopter is interested in adopting a dog from BCRA, they must fill out an adoption application. The application will be checked within 48 hours and our Adoption Coordinator will email you (please check your spam box!) We will need you to provide a Vet reference, 2-3 personal references (non-family) and will schedule a home check visit about 14-21 days after adoption. This allows us to not only check on how you're all adjusting to one another, but to also address any concerns that you have. We will never leave you in the lurch and will always be there to guide you with your dog/cat. We love them too!

The adoption fee donation will apply.

** Please note that we often receive several applications for each animal. It's best match, not first come first serve. We let the dog chose it's owner as well. Please do not be offended if declined for a particular dog. We will do everything in our power to find the perfect match for you or refer you to another rescue/shelter. Thank you. **
