Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Apollo was saved from a very rural shelter in Texas were it was over run with dogs and they get no help. Apollo was in a small cage and all he could hear was dogs fighting over food or not getting along as there was to many dogs in each run they had. It must have been so scary for him to hear not knowing what was going on and if something bad was going to happen to him. One of the ladies in the rescue group drove to Texas to see what could be done to help. She ended up saving 5 dogs and Apollo was just 1 of the 5. When she first meet Apollo he was not sure of her and there was a lot of noise going on so it was not a great environment. With some treats and him knowing he was going to be petted he was just fine. He even got to ride shot gun with her on the ride back. Apollo was no problem with his foster dad, he actually went up to him and that is actually the best way for Apollo. He likes to do things on his own terms to feel comfortable and this breed seems to be like this. Apollo is about 2 years old and 13lbs. He is fully vetted meaning fixed, current on all shots, heartworm negative, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. He is fine with the small dogs in the foster home and cat, he would prefer a home without big dogs. We also think he would be best suited in a home without very young children. He walks great on a leash and is house trained. He is also crate trained.
