Dodger's Story...
We have a new member that has joined the Hope Rescue pack. This is Dodger, he is a standard schnauzer who is approximately 6 years old and looking for his perfect home. He weighs 24 lbs, but could stand to gain few more. He has been to the doggie spa and is feeling great! He is a sweet and happy boy who, based on his condition when he came to us, wasn't cared for as he should have been. He is learning to how to play and enjoy yummy treats. If you think he would make a good addition to your family, just go to the link and fill out an application. There is a spot for personal references and your veterinarian as well. We also REQUIRE a fenced yard, vet reference (a vet that you use for current pets or have used in the past for previous pets), homecheck, and an adoption contract. If you do not have a fenced yard or vet reference and aren't willing to agree to a home check and adoption contract, please do not continue with the application process. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Here is the link:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dodger, a Jennings Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Jennings, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Jennings.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jennings already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jennings breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jennings paves the way for another one to be saved.
