Bernard's Story...
Look at this sweet face! Bernard is a 10 month old Retriever mix looking to find his awesome new home! He was brought to us after being found as a stray, and since no owners were located he is ready to be adopted. He is a very sweet boy, and good with other dogs of all sizes! He is very playful and loves kids too! He is an energetic young guy, and his new family will need to be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and play time! He is doing great with his potty-training, and will just need time to adjust to a new home and schedule. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped. Come and meet him today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernard, a Benbrook Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
