One of five puppies that were abandoned by their owners and then brought to a high kill shelter in Georgia. LIttle time is given for placement of the babies brought to this shelter.
You see, it's common for most kill shelters to have little time provided for networking to rescue.
You see, it's common to find the shelter overflowing with homeless and unwanted puppies.
You see, it's common that dogs in rural areas run freely and are not altered....and, so unwanted puppies are commonplace!
Initially rescued by a colleague in the business, Diamond Dogs was approached to see if we could take over the three girls and two boys into our rescue for placement. We were happy to help co-rescue and so moved forward to continue further vetting in preparing to place this family up for adoption.
All puppies were fully vetted, having been brought current on all vaccines, spayed, micro chipped and quarantined. Two found their homes and transported directly to their family. We now have one female and two males available and in foster homes. They are retriever/hound mixes and are around 25 lbs but should grow to be around 45-50lbs and are around
6 months old.
Mandy is being fostered in a home in PA with one of her brothers, Mickey. She began being so scared and shy that it was days before she learned to trust enough to settle in. But, with a house full of loving family members, and other canine dogs to show her the courage needed, she has begun to trust humans again!
If you've been thinking of adopting, any of these puppies will be a great choice.
