Murphy's Story...
Murphy is a 20 yr. old Moluccan Cockatoo that needs a new forever home. He has been adopted out to people with kids & that did not work out. He is a mans bird so please ,he will only go to a single man with No kids. He will get very possessive of his male owner & will attack others coming near his owner. We need to be very careful to who adopts him, for he will attack & bite.He looks better now then in the pics. feathers are growing back. :o). We want to give him a chance for a new, forever home but if it doesn't work that way he will become a permanent here at the Rescue. Please call for more details. Thank you.
There is a 300.00 adoption fee for Murphy.
No drop-ins. No one under 18/No open-toed shoes allowed on Rescue property. No exceptions.
Cages, carriers, crates, tanks, also supplies for just about any critters available at GREAT prices. All monies go back into the Rescue for the care of the surrendered animals. Thank you & please pass along.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Christmas Cockatoo was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatoo for sale in Christmas, or seeking a Cockatoo from a breeder in Christmas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christmas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christmas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatoo breeders who help with Cockatoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christmas paves the way for another one to be saved.
