My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boomer is on a Trial Adoption
Boomers transformation.
He is about 3 years old, weighs 12.6 pounds (after grooming), neutered and has a microchip now. He was pretty thin under all that hair buy has gained 4 pounds and looks so much better now. He is very friendly and gets along with other dogs. He is doing well on his house training. Unfortunately, he tested positive for heartworms.
He was found at a campground in Como, MS. Of course he had a lot of fleas and ticks. He has been started on doxycycline for his heartworms and all the ticks. We are using Avantage Multi as his heartworm prevention and so he doesn't get any more heartworms.

His adoption fee is $150. We will supply his Doxycycline to treat him with the slow kill method for his heartworms. You would be responsible to buy the Advantage multi as his heartworm prevention which he will need every month.

If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://members.petfinder.com/~MS72/adoption_app.html

Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home.

Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract
