My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in SHERMAN, or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application.

Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

SHERMAN is definitely the sweetest and coolest dude in town. We love everything about this dude! From his underbite, to affectionate demeanor, to laid back personality, to smooshy jowls...he makes everyone who hangs out with him melt. He is 2 years old and we believe he is a bulldog/ Boston terrier mix. SHERMAN adores all people and has a special affinity for children. He is the perfect host when company comes to visit his foster home. He can get along with absolutely any and every dog. This gentle soul is perfect with cats as well. Sherman is potty trained and doesn't tear things up in the house. He is so trustworthy in fact that he does not even have to be crated while his foster family is at work. SHERMAN is fantastic on leash and mellow in the car. He is the ideal dog to take to children's sporting events, vacations, dog park, and a restaurant patio. He is awesome all around!

SHERMAN is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and cost of transport to the Midwest after he is adopted.

Note: SHERMAN is white with brindle, but that is not a color option on adoptapet.

Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you for your patience.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
