Clyde's Story...
Clyde is a 7 1/2 year old chihuahua who's super tall like a pony and has tons of personality! He is a goofy, happy, feisty boy who loves to roll in the grass. Clyde loves attention and is great with other dogs who let him have his way. He was with us originally last year, and he was adopted. Sadly, he arrived back at ACL as a stray, and his adopters have not come for him. Poor Clyde! In the past, Clyde was in a foster home, and his foster mom reported that he fit in immediately and never caused anything but smiles. Clyde is a bit bossy, and he'll do best with kids 12 and up and other dogs that don't mind a strong personality. Clyde is an older chihuahua, which means he likes things his way - an adopter who loves chihuahuas for all that personality would suit him perfectly! Despite Clyde's misfortune, we know he has a bright future. Come meet him and make his second time a charm!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Oak Park Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
