Miley (Spayed)'s Story...
"Miley" is a lovely 3-year old female kitty who was surrendered to the HSOV on April 10, 2017 because her master was entering an assisted-living facility and couldn't take Miley along :(

"Miley" has a pale brown tabby short smooth coat with white markings on her chest and paws, a long ringed tail, and a beautiful face with a brown button nose, large golden eyes, and a white milk mustache. And she always seems to have the cutest smile on her face :) "Miley" has an extremely friendly, outgoing personality, and she loves attention more than anything else in the world (although we do admit that she is pretty fond of her food and treats in addition to loving) :) :) She is a full-figured girl who currently weighs 12.4 lbs.

"Miley" yearns to find another home of her very own where she can stretch her long legs for exercise, snuggle up with her new family, and enjoy cat naps in the sunshine (are you beginning to get the picture of what Miley dreams of while she snoozes in her small cage?)

"Miley" is up-to-date on vaccinations and has already been spayed, so she could leave the shelter immediately with an approved adoption application.

Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miley (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
