Pythia/Rocky's Story...

Pythia is the adventurist in her pair. She is very outgoing and loving. She'll play and romp - she looks for attention, be ready! She cares for her brother who is a little more shy, but just as loving. We would prefer they get adopted together. Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat. All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeL. They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination. An application must be completed to be considered to adopt from Stray HELP. http://www.soundearth.com/SEAdoptionForm.pdf If your application is approved we conduct a home visit for final approval of adoption. They are accustomed to people, phones, radios and tv; all the noises of home life. We work with perspective parents to find their perfect match.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pythia/Rocky, a Fishkill Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fishkill, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fishkill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fishkill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fishkill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fishkill paves the way for another one to be saved.
