Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET GIANNA!
Gianna (aka GeeGee) really is a diamond in the 'ruff'. This beautiful Shepherd mix found herself homeless and in the animal control shelter at the reported age of 14 because her previous family could no longer care for a pet. Senior pets don't fare well in the crowded, scary shelter-setting so the shelter volunteers and COEL team jumped into action to save Gianna's life! She's now safe and sound and making her new foster family smile every day.
Though reported to be 14 when she was surrendered, Gianna is in great shape and has great energy so very well could be younger. Gianna quickly came out of her shell once out of the shelter and has proved to be a calm, gentle girl who loves to spend her days lounging around. Gianna has THE BEST lopsided ears and is ALWAYS smiling! She adores her human friends and is happy to meet people of all shapes, sizes and ages! Gianna is currently living with another female dog and they have become fast friends! Despite being an older dog, this silly girl loves to romp around and play bow with her canine foster sibling. She's also living with cats right now and gets along with them great (and will also try to play with them)! Gianna would be a great addition to just about any family!
Gianna has been to our vet and is in great shape! It appears that Gianna was pee pad trained in her previous home and is doing great with learning to do her business outside. She may need some time to adjust to a new home and walk schedule, but once settled, should have no problems whatsoever!
Gianna is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also heartworm and lymes disease negative. Interested in meeting her?
