Timothy's Story...
We can't even begin to tell you how amazing this boy is. Within an hour of being in his foster home, he had met everyone, did not hiss even once! Not at the four-legged friends or the humans. He purred as soon as we picked up and he gave kisses on our chins and fingers. He is AMAZING. Please please give him the unconditional love he needs. He was pulled from the shelter within hours of being put to sleep and we are SO grateful we had a rescue volunteer give him a voice and foster home give him a chance to live out his many years he deserves to have on this earth! He is about 18 months old and his adoption fee is $25. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL, is felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped! You can fill out an adoption application at www.forrescue.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timothy, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
