Scotch is a beautiful.... err, I mean handsome....young guy that needs a window to look out of, wand toys to play with, laser lights, and HIS very OWN spot where he can go for peace and quiet in the house. He will need a few days confined to one room/area before being let out to the entire house and should meet his humans only a few at time. He easily gets over-stimulated and looses his cool. He would not do well in a home with other cats only because he likes to chase, and it stresses most other cats out. No dogs. And he would do fine in a house with kids, as long as they are not too young to understand that he doesn't want to be picked up and held. He has to be VERY trusting of his humans before he will allow them to hold him or carry him around, so you have to be patient with this big lug. He may even make a good indoor/outdoor kitty if you want to train him to be one. This kitty is fostered in Huntsville, AL, is felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped! The adoption fee is $25 and you can fill out an application at www.forrescue.net!

About Friends of Rescue - Chattanooga, TN

About Our Rescue Group...

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our animals are mostly fostered in northern Alabama. But we have many wonderful adopters who come from the Tennessee area to adopt our wonderful adoptables.

Our Adoption Process...

We have many wonderful dogs and cats looking for FORever Homes!

Our adoption fee covers their complete age-appropriate vetting, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/flea prevention, and full medical records. ALL animals are in loving foster homes.

Go to www.FORrescue.net and click on "Adoption" and then "Applications" to apply for the animal you are interested in adopting.
