My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Pearl and I'm just 5 months old (a/o 4/10/17). I have a beautiful brownish gray coat with white markings and weigh approximately 25lbs.

My sisters and I were rescued from a homeless camp when I was just 5 weeks old after my mother was hit and killed in the road. NorCal Bully Breed Rescue was asked to help, and they agreed! My future is looking much brighter!!

I like to eat EVERYTHING, and have a very healthy appetite for my kibble and have yet to find something I don't like to snack on. I especially like carrots.

I have a playful puppy personality. My favorite activities are going for rides in the car,
playing fetch, going for walks, playing tug-o-war, and wrestling with my foster sister.

My favorite toy is anything with a squeaker in it.

I know how to sit and shake. I'm a pretty confident girl, but loud noises startle me sometimes.

I haven't been around children, but I think I would probably like nicely behaved kids.

I get along with cats, and love other dogs. I live with a 5 year old female pit bull (she's my best friend) and 2 cats.

I am being crate trained and hang out in my crate when I'm home alone. I get to sleep in bed with my foster family, and I sure can snore!

I like walking on a leash, but I'm still learning how, and I love to dig and play in the mud!

I have been doing very well with my house training, and I will run to the door and let my family know when I need to go out to potty.

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary).

Pearl's adoption donation is $350.

Interested in meeting Pearl or any of our available pooches? Complete and submit our adoption application on our website norcalbullybreedrescue.com and we will respond to you within 24 to 48 hours.
