From the Foster:

Maisie has quickly made herself at home in the short time we have had her, giving her furry foster sister a run for her money; she is all puppy! She is a foxhound mix weighing in at 45 pounds.   She has a lovable, playful spirit and sweet as can be demeanor, just working on containing all of her love with more training and patience, specifically on jumping, barking and nibbling especially when excited or if she hasn't had the chance to burn off enough energy yet that day - but sometimes her foster mom thinks Maisie just wants all the attention all the time and is having a hard time sharing it with her furry foster sister :)
She loves a good belly rub or snuggle with her foster parents (her furry foster sister isn't quite there yet), is very friendly and sweet with little kids and other dogs, small ones included (though still learning her strength so supervision is necessary!) but she hasn't met any cats in our time together yet. She loves being outside and taking walks;  she is curious about all things and enjoys finding all the new smells with her adorable, keen  hound  nose loves meeting new pups and humans on our adventures. She is very motivated by food and would eat all day if she was had it her way - this has been great for training since she'll do about anything for a treat but  has growled when fed alongside other dogs or if she is enjoying a longer term chew toy and they come to check it out, but her foster parents have tried to accommodate her in those typical situations and are quick to redirect that behavior when it arises but believe with continued consistency, this is just a habit she can break.
She has been quick to learn new tricks like sit, stay, shake and more so she may have it in her to be a great hunting companion. She has some separation anxiety but can be temporarily distracted with tough-chewer toys and a little of her favorite treat - peanut butter! She does not sleep in a kennel at her foster home but still needs supervision when not kenneled due to her desire to chew, especially when stressed, so when leaving home for short periods of time, kennel is best (her fosters have someone in the home almost 100% of the time due to work at home arrangements and have not left her longer than 6-8 hours a handful of times at most - we truly recommend a home with limited alone time to be the best fit for this sweet, loving girl who wants to know her humans are nearby).
