Punkin's Story...
M16-225 - My foster mom named me Punkin’ when I was rescued last fall from a feral colony where futures weren’t very bright. I had a hard start, and an illness that cost me my left eye; but great vets and a wonderful foster mom helped me adjust and now I’m fine-- a beautiful tabby girl with a cute little “wink”. My foster mom calls me Punky. I’m 16 months old now, healthy, spayed, current on my shots, and negative for FIV/FELV. Look at my beautiful stripes, and the happy tail I carry over my back. I am affectionate and have nice manners. I’d love to be an INSIDE ONLY Family Cat in a happy household with responsible older children who’d like someone to help with homework and watch TV. I have a great purr, and a sweet disposition. I’m great with other cats, polite young people, and I’d be okay with polite, friendly dogs. I also like to rub on your ankles, so if you are worried about tripping, I’m probably not the best choice! But if you’d like a great buddy, always there for you – we should definitely talk!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Punkin, a Buhl Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Buhl, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Buhl.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buhl already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buhl breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buhl paves the way for another one to be saved.
