If you are looking for a sweet senior companion, Dixon may be your man! Dixon was turned in to the shelter with several other dogs because their owner could longer care for them, but he adjusted quickly in his loving foster home. Dix is a long-legged Chihuahua-terrier mix, weighs under ten pounds, and has been estimated to be 11 or 12 years old. But don’t let his age fool you….Dixon is a boy of many moods:at times he is quite active and playful and at other times he is the ultimate lap dog.
Dixon enjoys riding in the car, taking walks around the neighborhood, and napping in the sun. He gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home and he enjoys meeting people who come to visit. But when he encounters unfamiliar dogs or people when he’s on a walk or out in public, he gets very excited and barks a lot! Dixon loves spending his evenings on his foster mom’s lap and he wants to sleep under the covers in someone’s bed each night.
Dixon has an old injury on one of his legs that doesn't bother him a single bit. He also just had his teeth professionally cleaned by the vet and he is so happy about that!!
Dixon is a precious boy who is in good health and still has much love to give. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for heart worms, and is current on trifexis.
