My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB January 15, 2015. Casey is a loving, cuddly cat but does have a bit of a shy side. He will often run and hide under a bed when someone enters the condo, however he will come out and be social most of the time. Casey will happily sit beside you on the couch or lie on your stomach/chest to catch a few zzz's. He will sleep on your bed as soon as you get into it and will stay there until you get up the next morning, whether it be 7am or 1pm. Sometimes he will wake you up by standing on your chest and meowing in your face. He likes to chase cat toys and loves to play with you - he will playfully get your feet under a blanket and will try to playfully bat at your hands. Be sure not to encourage him to play bite though!
Casey has the right amount of balance between a fun cuddly cat and attention hog. He is very well behaved, won't jump on counters or tables, and won't try and eat your food - though he will try and distract you from working on your computer and will try to keep you up at night to play!
As mentioned before, Casey can be a bit timid so he will tend to hide under the bed at times, especially after a new person he doesn't know comes into the room, but that does not deter him from hanging out with you or playing or eating. He loves to nuzzle his face on your hands when he gets the opportunity!
Casey was rescued from the street as a stray. It is suspected that he was left outside by a previous owner, as he was in rough shape when he was first rescued, but he has come around and is doing very well!
Casey has a grade 4 heart murmur, but this does not seem to deter him at all in his daily routine. He also has two weepy eyes that will result in some blackness around them. He generally cleans it himself but at times wiping them with a soft warm cloth is needed. It is advised that he have a lysine supplement with his food as he could be sensitive to upper respiratory infections.
Casey is an awesome cat. When he first came to his foster home he was sick, stressed, shedding hair, and constantly hiding and running away when someone walked near him. He's now a dramatically different cat who will lie with you on the couch, will eat his food with no issues, and seems to be quite happy he is not on the cold streets anymore. He will be greatly missed by his foster family, but whoever takes him home will be extremely lucky to have this amazing guy in their lives!
