Tennessee Tuxedo, known as "Tux" or Tuxey is a Domestic Long Haired B&W about 8 yrs old.
We've bragged a lot that Tux is the perfect cat, but anyone that's met him doesn't need to be told.  He is super friendly, loving, easy going, well behaved, smart, beautiful, playful, amusing and gets along with dogs and cats.  We don't have children, so that is an unknown.  Tux is very trusting and will roll over on his back to many a stranger for them to pet his chest.

He and his friend Lily are looking for a new home. They are inside cats now, but used to love to go on walks with us and then spend time hunting.  Living in the country, we love that they are both excellent mousers indoors & outdoors.  They learned to come inside by the count of five or the door would be shut.  Their litter box and food feeder are on a couple raised tables due to dogs getting into it.  In spite of this, neither one has ever gone potty anywhere but the litter box.  They are completely house trained.  I love their manners, like we've never seen either try to get on the kitchen counters.  They are very low maintenance in general, meaning they are not attention hounds.  They do love attention but are really good about attending to each other when we're super busy.  I was surprised, due to the length of their hair, but both have hair easy to groom.  At the most just a light brushing once a month keeps all tangles out.  Mostly they sleep on the dog beds, but they love their cat stand with a view of the outdoors too.

These are two happy cats who deserve a loving home and preferably together.  Please call or email if you can help place these beautiful sweet babies.

Thank you,
Carolyn Pangborn

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
