Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Description: Jefferson is a sweet and friendly male. He looks like a purebred shih tzu around 3 years old. He weighs 16 lbs. He is black, white and brown in color.
*Personality: Jefferson is a very friendly and loving. He gets along well with other friendly dogs. He loves giving kisses and he is very affectionate. He has no issues with men and will get along great with older kids. He is an easy dog, so he would be a great to take to work, or good for a retired person. He is also a great traveler. He just is one of those super sweet, easy to get along with dogs that you will fall in love with. He is not a big barker. He is potty trained, but could have an accident until he learns a new routine.
*Background: Jefferson was given to us by his owner. He had some minor health care issues which we cared for including a surgery on a smashed toe. He also has skin allergies. The vet treated him and we have him on a novel protein no starch diet. He is looking a lot better, but his adopter will need to continue his diet and possibly a treatment.
*Needs: Jefferson will need an owner that has time for her. A fenced yard is ideal, but he wiould be ok in a condo. We will not place him in a home with young children. He was tormented by kids in his last home and we think he will be happier in a home without young kids. Older kids over 12 should be fine.
*Health care: Jefferson is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, He was treated for skin allergies and will need to be on a restricted diet.
*More Info about our process: We have an application for adopters to fill out. One can be found on our website WWW.littleblessingsrescue.vpweb.com, or emailed to you. We are looking for matches since every dog is different and needs different things. We make love matches. :). We set up meetings and if a love match is made, we will do a home safety check. After that we give you the dog's records and an adoption agreement is signed. We can not accomodate out of state adoptions. All adopters must meet in person. Emails are appreciated.
Adoption Fee: $395
