Hola, familia. Me llamo Pablo. Yo soy un perro international. In English this means: "Hello, family. My name is Pablo. I am an international dog."
I am quite the jet setter! I came all the way from Isla Mujeres, Mexico to find a forever home in Minnesota. ¡Ole! I also go by the alias Pabby. When it comes to new people and situations, I am very shy. It takes time for me to feel comfortable and relax, but once I do I’m a super goofy guy.
When things get hectic I go in my very own house that my foster mom gave me (a crate). It’s a nice, quiet place to mellow out and feel safe. I love, love, love being around dogs of all ages and sizes. When I’m not sure what to do, I look to other dogs to show me. In fact, I MUST be adopted into a home with another dog. I’ll be a great little brother. I promise!
I am looking for a person who is patient enough to let me come out of my shell at my own pace. It’s not always easy. I’m extremely handsome and everyone wants to pet me and be my best friend ASAP. I just need to learn to trust on my own terms and then I can be my silly self. Once you've earned my trust, you will be rewarded with snuggles and kisses.
I am allowed free range of the house when my foster mom is gone. At night, I sleep with my person in her bed. I am house trained!
Pablo is estimated to be 1.5 years old and 22 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
