Alexa's Story...
We have had sisters Alexa and Paisley for a year and a half. We adopted them as 8 week old kittens from a foster home. They are sweet girls that are very affectionate and playful. Paisley likes to be carried around and Alexa likes to sit on our lap. Both greet us warmly whenever we come home ad need to be in whatever room of the house we are in. We have loved having them as part of our family. They have been spending most of their time in our daughter's room but she is no longer able to sleep well with them so we have come to the difficult decision that we need to find them a new home. We have a large dog who they tolerate quite well and they are great with people and kids. We would hope to keep the two of them together since they have never been apart. Our ideal new home would be a place where they could roam freely as indoor cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexa, a Torrance American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Torrance, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
