Raven is a super sweet, 6 year old lab. She spent her life being bred for puppies. When her owner was done with her, he tossed her out like trash. She spent her entire life in a pen without a warm bed or any soft hugs. Despite her past she is very affectionate, and would like nothing more than to snuggle with her people all day. She is completely housebroken, loves a good walk, and is a perfect lady on a leash. She loves belly rubs, and is very gentle. She rolls over and begs for belly rubs and can't get enough affection from people. She is not a big barker, and does well in her crate. She is fearful of thunderstorms when they are bad. She is quiet in her crate, but would prefer to sleep in the bedroom with her people. And she loves to sleep in in the morning if you do, or she is happy to get up early. It is your call, and she will follow! She would do well in a home with children, but prefers a home without other dogs or cats. She is an extremely friendly, well behaved girl, and wants to find her forever home! She loves to play with toys and bounces around the house with them. She will also be the first to jump in the lake and take a swim, run thru the snow like a puppy, or simply curl up on the couch with you! You get the best of every world with her. We know that not everyone wants a middle aged black dog, but we are hoping someone out there can give her a chance. She is truly a precious doll baby. Please consider giving her a forever home.
