Consider yourself at home. Consider yourself one of the family. We've taken to you so strong. It's clear we're going to get along. Consider yourself well in Consider yourself part of the furniture. There isn't a lot to spare. Who cares?..What ever we've got we share! - from 'Consider Yourself ' featured in the movie 'Oliver'
You should definitely consider our sweet, silly, lovable pup Oliver! Oliver is a 4 month old Pointer/Hound mix who currently weighs 17 lbs. We estimate he will be somewhere between 35 and 40 lbs when full grown. This darling little boy is all wiggly, curious, fun loving puppy. He has done really well with his house training. He lets himself out via doggy door and he whines for foster mom to let him out at night. He does well when crated as part of his training. Foster mom has given a couple of trial runs with free run of the home when they left for a couple of hours. Surprisingly the only thing amiss was a roll of toilet paper which was run all the way to the doggy door...not one single piece was torn up. That's a pretty amazing feat for such a youngster. Oliver is still working on leash training and pretty much everything little guys his age start working on. He thinks he is much bigger than he is and has no problems keeping up with the BIG dogs. He is good at self entertainment and just as quickly turns around and wants some loving. He's the best of both worlds, independent and cuddly. He loves sleeping in the bed with his foster parents or the 8 year old little human in the home. He gets along great with other dogs, all people, and children. He is fine with cats, they just don't always feel the same about him due to his puppy curiosity and energy. Oliver is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. He's ready to wiggle his way into your heart and consider himself at home. If you're looking for an adorable bundle of pure puppy happiness then you may want to consider making Oliver part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a SOUTHINGTON Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in SOUTHINGTON, or seeking a Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in SOUTHINGTON.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in SOUTHINGTON already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a SOUTHINGTON breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in SOUTHINGTON paves the way for another one to be saved.
