"Hans" is a handsome one-year old male kitty who came to the HSOV on April 11, 2017 after he was found in the Fleming Ohio area. He was accompanied by a beautiful young black female kitty ("Ebony") who is most likely his sister.

"Hans" has a shiny black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling face with a black button nose and large golden eyes. This good-looking young man has a quiet, easygoing personality.

"Hans" was given vaccinations, wormer, and Revolution flea treatment on April 11, 2017. He weighed 7.2 lbs. "Hans" will be neutered (at no cost to his new family) before being adopted and leaving our shelter.

"Hans" was neutered on April 26, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 7.7 lbs. on that date.

We are a non-profit shelter giving refuge to homeless and abandoned animals in Washington County Ohio. We strive to make their time here as comfortable as possible. We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.

We are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm; Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. . Closed on Monday..

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. .

Adoption fee for dogs is $125.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, dog tag, and spay/neuter.

Adoption fee for cats is $20 dollars and includes vaccinations, wormer, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.

Adoption fees for other species varies.
