Gwendolyn's Boys's Story...
Gwendolyn came to rescue pregnant and had 9 healthy puppies on March 22nd. They will be available for adoption in June and applications are welcome now to hold the puppy until ready for adoption. They will be exposed to children, other dogs, and cats prior to adoption and fully vetted. Their mother is a gorgeous 80 lb Rottweiler but father(s) are completely unknown. There are 5 males and 4 females. Please visit For Belle's Sake on Facebook to follow their progress! If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and other known medical issues cared for prior to adoption. *Breeds are not be guaranteed *Housetraining is not guaranteed as our primary concern is major behavioral and medical rehabilitation leaving basic training to adoptive families. We have also found that basic training enhances the bonding between adopter and dog and establishes trust and boundaries. Even if displaying housetrained behavior at rescue, an animal can regress when in a new environment and with a new routine. *If a yard is present, a fence is required. If no yard (condo/apartment, ie) a mandatory leash law is required with access to a dog park for unleashed exercise.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gwendolyn's Boys, a Minot Rottweiler/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Boxer for sale in Minot, or seeking a Rottweiler/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Minot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Boxer breeders who help with Rottweiler/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minot paves the way for another one to be saved.
