LATTE is a gentle and sweet-natured female Siamese-mix kitty with gorgeous long fur and chocolate points (she might also have some Himalayan in her). She is estimated to be about 6 to 7 years old. She loves a comfy, warm spot where she can soak up love and attention, and treats! She is a bit reserved in new situations, but doesn't seem to be scared of meeting new people. In the Petsmart cattery we have discovered that Latte really enjoys sitting in laps and being petted or brushed (her long coat will require someone with patience to work out a few mats from time to time). She showed up one day several months ago at a family's house, and her owner couldn't be located. They set up a bed for her in their woodshed and fed her well, but she had clearly been an indoor cat and constantly lobbied to come inside their house. However, they already had 6 pets and couldn't take on another. Latte is a very easy-going kitty who deserves a stable forever home where she can feel safe and loved. She is OK with dogs and gentle kids, and is fine with other mellow kitties after a short period of adjustment.

LATTE has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in the cat room at Petsmart in South Eugene (28th and Willamette). About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
