Buster's Story...
Buster is a 1 year old male German shepherd mix. He was found as a stray and local police contacted the rescue asking us to take him in. He is a very goofy, fun loving, energetic dog. He does appear to get along with other dogs with proper introductions. He doesn't seem to mind cats but will chase them a bit. Buster is very strong and energetic so he is not recommended around small children but could do well with older ones. Buster is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, housebroken, crate trained, knows some basic commands, and will be microchipped upon adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Stahlstown German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Stahlstown, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Stahlstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stahlstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stahlstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stahlstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
