Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Todd was found in NW Harris Co. He had been left beside a road with his buddy, Copper along with a bag of dog food, their bowls and a note telling us their names. This 5 y/o boy is 16 inches tall and weighs a solid 35 pounds. Except for the white on his chest, he looks like a shrunken Black & Tan Coon Hound!
Todd was neutered early in life and was fully house broken when he came to stay with his foster pack. He is crate trained, but goes to the crate only at meal times. His manners are great and he does not need crating during the day. He knew how to use the dog door from his previous life.
Todd has the laid-backed, easy going personality of a good old hound dog! You can imagine him laying around on a front porch watching the world go by before moseying down the drive with his person to get the mail! Todd gets along with other dogs in his foster pack. He can be a little possessive when it comes to sharing chew bones, but generally interacts without any problems. He can get pretty load when he spots a squirrel or the rare dumb bunny that wanders into the yard! He has just recently recovered post treatment for heart worms, so may get more active as he feels better.
Todd loves being close to his human. He is never pushy when seeking attention, but enjoys every bit of loving that you have to give! His preferred place to sleep at night is on your bed but he is not a bed hog. Todd will get off and sleep on a dog bed or a chair in the room when asked. Just do not expect him to sleep in a different room! If you are looking for a loving, loyal companion then Todd is the boy for you. Apply today!
