Baxter's Story...
Hi, I am Baxter and my story ended up being a good one. See I am one of the lucky puppies to be rescued by my current foster mom. She had seen my post on FB that was urgent showing me abandoned and stating that I was left on a sidewalk sitting on a T-Shirt. I was barely 5 weeks old and had no idea what was going to happen. The next thing I knew my foster mom came and took me for a long drive from Bakersfield to Orange County. That’s right she drove all that way to come rescue me. I was so scared and didn’t know what to do but she made sure I had a warm bed, food, and an area for me to relax. It was a hard few nights being left alone in my bed whining and howling but my foster mom would pick me up and let me lay on her pillow. All I could do was curl up in her neck and sleep. She kept telling me it’s okay lil baby I’m here, I love you and your safe. That’s exactly how she made me feel. I’ve been with my foster mom about 2 weeks now and I don’t cry as much anymore I love being close to my human, I’m on hard puppy food and I try to play with her two larger dogs but can’t cause I’m too small for them. (They sneak and give me kisses in my play pen). I’m still working on being potty trained, sometimes I make it and sometimes I miss it but my foster mom is so patient. Everyone I met I get happy and want to play with them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Fallbrook Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Fallbrook, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Fallbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fallbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fallbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fallbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
