Introducing sweet Katy.

In early April, we were asked to take in two sisters Daisy and Katy. Their human Dad had just passed away and their Mom was headed to an assisted living facility. One of their top priorities was to find a forever home for Daisy and Katy and CRT is honored to help with this request. Our top priority was to find a loving, forever home for them! Daisy has been adopted and now it is Katy's turn!

Katy is very outgoing. She loves everyone she meets. She enjoys hanging out with her foster Mom and Dad and sitting on their laps, giving lots of kisses, and getting petted. She will snuggle with her humans and is a great companion for TV watching, etc. She also loves hanging out in a doggy bed in your office. So if you work from home, she is a great companion as she will hang with you all day. And she is not a big barker, so those conference calls will go great!

When we got Katy, we noticed she had a luxating patella (which is a very common knee condition with small dogs). She has had her surgery and is healing nicely. We have noticed that even through her healing process with a small cast, she was not a complainer at all. She has been super sweet and happy-go-lucky through it all. And her movement has been great. She has medium energy, even when she had her cast. The cast is now off and she is getting around great. But her attitude during her surgery and recovery tells us a lot about her personality!

Katy gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. She likes to hang out with them and is social. She also enjoys playing with them. Katy also will play with toys. Her favorite is a stuffed sock monkey! Her monkey will go with her to her forever home. There are also cats in her foster home and she gets along great with them. She would love having another dog in her forever home to hang around with.

Katy is black and white. She has beautiful eyes. Katy is super sweet and as we mentioned gets along with people and with other animals. She should be fine in a home with children. One thing we have noticed is that she LOVES food. She will gladly eat any extra food that your dogs leave behind! Unfortunately, this has made her a little chubby! She currently weighs about 8 pounds and we have her on a diet as we believe 6-7 pounds is her ideal weight!

Katy is very smart. She will go potty outside. She has been great about holding her potty until her foster parents come home from work, but will also use pee pee pads if she needs to. Katy is crate trained, but would much rather sleep under a soft blanket in her doggy bed, or better yet, she loves to crawl in bed and snuggle with you!

This sweetheart just wants to feel love and feel safe. Are you the right family for her?
