My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boris is a toy fox terrier mix. He is approx 1 year old and 15 lbs. He is a sweet little dog but does not like being left outside on his own and will find a way to escape. He does have some separation anxiety and will need to be in a home that has people around most of the day. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and loves people. He is going to make a great companion for someone that can make him feel safe and secure. He does pretty well on a leash and seems to be good on the house training but not perfect. As he is quick, we prefer a home with no little ones who will inadvertently leave a door open.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
