My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maddie, a 3 year old, 20 pound Terrier/Poodle Mix (currently doing a DNA test). She has become a very wonderful dog and a happy girl since having her liter of 7 puppies last November. She is a very loving dog with a great personality and loves to run outside with our large Bernese Mtn dog. Maddie can be a good watch dog too, alarming us of someone at the door. Maddie can stand on her hind legs and give hugs to our legs as well as sitting on our lap (lap dog). She has taken to going for walks with us by leash as the weather has gotten better and minds very well with little pulling on the leash. We are still working on commands such as sit and down but this will come with time for a new owner. We have several cats in the house as well as 3 other dogs and Maddie gets along with all of them. Maddie's coat is black and grey and does not seem to shed much at all.

(An adoption donation of $300 is required.) If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form https://www.chewdogrescue.org/index.php/adopt. If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
