Poppie's Story...

Meet Poppie, a 9 week old Boxer mix.  Poppie is a sweet, lovable pup whose favorite thing in the world is to snuggle on the couch with her family. She loves to run at top speed around the house, roll on her back in the grass and take afternoon naps. This pup is really enjoying Spring and loves the outdoors and all the new smells.

Poppie is a very smart girl too. She is very inquisitive and loves checking out new spaces, new toys and new people. She is doing great with potty training and crate training. Poppie would love a family to call her own.

Poppie's adoption fee is $300.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, spay, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the   Adoption Application     on our website at  a4apetpantry.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppie, a Hillsboro Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
