Lil Bit is my name and I’m just counting the days until I can go to a home. I found myself at Animal Control – they called me an unclaimed stray. I was positive my family would come looking for me. They never showed so now I want a family to call my own and let’s make it forever this time. Because of my recent ordeal, I could use a touch more socialization and encouragement to boost my confidence. I feel absolutely certain that just a little time in a loving home will do wonders for me. Tipping the scales at 5 lbs. means that I would do better in an adult home or one with respectful and calm children over 10. Look at this beautiful face, these soft sweet eyes, don’t you feel your heart melting? Well, for good reason—I am sensitive, affectionate, and very sweet. I know I will find a wonderful forever family who is willing to make a genuine commitment; you know, a family deserving of a delightful companion not unlike myself. I am loving and affectionate to all that I meet as long as they are very gentle and respectful of me; in fact, I may have a worried look on my face, but my tail wags non-stop. I adore curling up on a soft doggy bed, burrowing under the blankets, and a warm inviting lap -- although exercise is important for Chihuahuas too. Some toilet training may be necessary so you must be willing to work with me on that. I am ready to take a giant step right into the arms of my new family. I am the whole package albeit a tiny one.
