Hi there, my name is Michael but my friends call me “Mikey”. I was found about 3 years ago on the streets of Pennsylvania. (Don’t tell my buddies but I am about 5 years old now). A rescue group took me in and I was shortly adopted by an elderly woman who loved me dearly. While I’m not a lap cat, I enjoyed getting picked up for snuggles from my elderly friend. She liked to hear me purr. When my elderly friend moved into assisted living, she fell very ill. It was then that Dr. Sands from Healing Paws Veterinary Care agreed to foster me during a veterinary visit until I could find a new home. Let me tell you a little about myself so maybe I can find my new fur-ever home!
I enjoy kneading my paws – but don’t worry, I was declawed in my front paws by my first owner. I just knead and knead when I am happy – even when I’m sleeping! I love dry cat food but please don’t feed me milk products, as I am lactose intolerant. My favorite place to sleep is on top of the couch where I like to also play with your hair and wrap my tail around your head. If you’re working on your computer or at your desk at home I love to come watch you work, and may occasionally steal your chair.
I enjoy being inside with you getting attention, but on nice days I love to play in the yard or sit on the front porch. While I am declawed, I am a big muscular boy, so if I am supervised and on proper preventative care, I feel safe in the yard. Outside time is good for me. If I don’t get it enough I’ll sneak past your feet and go out to play on my own when you leave! Don’t worry, if you offer me a tasty meal or treat I come running back inside.
I am a very good boy about always using my litter box and I never spray. My litter box comes with me when I am adopted! I enjoy talking to you and love hanging around the men of the house. Kids are pretty cool too. I tolerate dogs but only if they treat me with the dignity and the respect I deserve! I would love to be the only cat in the house as I am a King and want all the attention to myself.
I am tested negative for both Feline Leukemia and FIV, am fully vaccinated and I have a super-cool microchip. I also receive monthly Frontline Gold to keep the bugs away.
