My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, everyone. I'm Button-as in cute as a... I'm a curious, inquisitive young girl who loves to snuggle--and I'm the perfect size for it! I fit in perfectly for cuddles on the couch or in bed. I like to sleep with my head on the pillow next to my foster mom and I wish she would let me under the covers. I'm not quite big enough to easily get on the bed and so I try to get her back feet between the mattress and boxspring so I can climb up.

I live with a two senior dogs, but they still love to play with me. I am very polite about sharing food and water with my foster-siblings and we even share treats. They are showing me all the joys of living in a house, playing and getting love. I love to play with humans, dogs, and toys and I enjoy going on walks. Because I'm a puppy, I'm still learning how to do things and often gets myself into adorably ridiculous situations like rolling around on the couch, only to roll right off the edge...at least twice a day. I also get really excited outside and face plant on the deck stairs pretty regularly. Even though I'm a puppy I have mastered adult dog stuff pretty fast. If I need to go outside, I let my foster parents know. I'm a super fast learner and have mastered sit and come. I know when it time to go into my kennel and I do it with ease. I also LOVE my diva days so when it's time for a nail trim and bath I'm an absolute doll!

If you are ready for fun, love and shenanigans, I'm your girl!

All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog over 4 months of age is $250.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $275.00 and a cat is $150.00. •

Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
