My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Briles. I was born in about July 2014 and I weigh 55 pounds. My breed mix is a bit of a mystery! Maybe some Hound, Pit Bull or Black Mouth Cur? Who knows?

I love people; especially ones who give me massages, peanut butter and let me snooze in the sun. I have a favorite spot, right behind my ears, that I like to get rubbed. When that happens, I make a funny sound, because it feels so good!

I would rather not spend my time jogging or wrestling with energetic dogs since I’m a really mellow guy. In fact, I think I would do best in an household as your only pet. I’m already house and crate trained, walk very nicely on the leash and take treats gently out of your hands.

Now, hold your breath, I successfully graduated from obedience school. Yes, that is right. I’m a young, handsome and a smart boy. I’m not one of those overly hyper kind of dogs. I do get excited when I see my human but I’m a bit on the shy side and will need some time to get to know and trust my new family but please know that I want one so badly. All I need is a house full of soft beds, people who like snuggles and just a few yummy treats!
Can’t wait to meet you soon…

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.
