It's been a long haul with Hera, almost exactly a year and a half since we took her in from the Ft. McDermitt Reservation.
She arrived in October 2015, pregnant and very fearful. Her two babies, Aris and Aries, were both adopted and have great homes. Hera had a horrible fear of the leash, and it has taken this long to get her to where she is comfortable with people and likes going for walks.
She's a super happy, friendly girl now that she's learned to trust humans. Hera would be a great family dog, she is super sweet and affectionate.
All of our dogs are available for a $150 donation. This includes them being spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated.
To adopt a dog, we require an approved pre-application, as well as a securely fenced yard. This means an actual, physical, fence. 'Invisible' fences are not acceptable, sorry. If you live in an apartment and do not have a yard, we are not able to adopt to you.
Please contact us at: email@example.com for details.
Please note: we typically do not do 'out of the area' adoptions. This would be any location more than 60 miles away from the Reno/Carson City area.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
