Richie is a 1-year-old quirky mix, possibly of Border Collie with lots of energy and love to give! He is intelligent, excitable, and loves to be active and play with other dogs. He'd love to find an adopter that will take him on lots of runs and/or hikes!
Richie is a huge ball of love. He wants to be near you and snuggle as much as possible. He gives lots of licks and love-nibbles. He is exuberant in his affection sometimes, and may do better with older children who won’t be knocked over. He is happy to plop down on the couch with you and take a good nap after a nice long walk.
Richie knows a good deal of commands, including sit, down, stay, off, and leave it. He likes to stay busy and sniff around, so his 'come' command and loose-leash walking go best when treats are involved.
Richie’s dream home would have people with lots of energy to give him long walks or hikes every day, a big fenced yard, maybe some dog-friendly dogs or older kids to run around and play chase with, and no cats.
