Josephine 's Story...
Jo-Jo is one amazing puppy. The only reason I am looking for a new home for her is because I, very unexpectedly, am being transferred for work. The apartment being set up for me will not have a yard. And though I would do anything to take her with me it is not what is best for her. A fenced yard is a must. This young lady needs lots of room to run! She is a huge show off, so she will make sure you know just how fast she is. She expects lots of attention and love from you when you are home. I think she would do wonderfully with another dog and kids though there are none living with us right now. She can get a little rough in her play so maybe not too young on the kids. She is potty trained and crate trained. She knows basic commands and is eager to learn. We are working on not counter surfing. I have to say that is probably our only big weakness. I really would like to send her into her new home with all of her stuff. Her crate, leash, toys, bed, etc. so she feels comfortable in her new space. I don't want to lose her but I need to do what is best for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josephine , a Saint Louis Labrador Retriever/Coonhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound for sale in Saint Louis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound puppy from a breeder in Saint Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saint Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saint Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Coonhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saint Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
