Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jett would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that sweet and loyal lap dog and walking/hiking partner. At just 9 - 12 months old and 18 lbs, Jett is so portable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a small and very sweet dog is allowed. It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great temperaments...as well as so very adorable...end up in precarious situations. It just doesn't get much cuter than Jett's scruffy face with the beautiful eyes.
Jett was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind TX rescuers hadn't stepped up. But how could they not have? This little dog is just so awesome with his whole life lying in front of him...a life in which he can bring so much joy to a special family.
Jett, as a very young guy, is a blank slate waiting to learn about the world. With clear guidance and positive reinforcement obedience classes, Jett can have great behavior and be a very bonded companion. He is an all-time snuggler and will cuddle his way into any heart!
Jett may be frightened initially at transport since rehoming is scary ..but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine We envision Jett with an active and patient retired couple or individual...he would be overjoyed with the time he could spend in their company.
Jett likes children and enjoys playing with them...but we would only be open to older kids who can be gentle and understanding that Jett is a small pup and needs soft and gentle handling. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery, Jett would love nothing more than to share the experience. He is always up for a walk, fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the air, so happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. Then, maybe his favorite part...it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed beside his favorite people.
Jett is a non-shedding guy and will therefore require a commitment to grooming and great nutrition to keep his coat cottony-soft and matt-free.
We've requested that Jett be neutered/microchipped prior to his transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to far too few vets in this industrial area of Kansas. If it doesn't, Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for Jett's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.
Jett will be arriving on transport in Denver on Wednesday 4/19/17. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving guy, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302.
