Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PENDING!!!
When Finn's rescuer walked down the aisle of the dismal Kansas shelter, she was shocked to see the beautiful (and extremely dirty and matted) Finn tucked tightly into a cage...his time was up. Farfel's immediately got a call describing how incredibly cute and sweet this Terrier mix is..and the need to save his life. We immediately agreed and Finn became a very treasured Farfel's dog. He earned a ticket to a wonderful new life in Colorado with his great temperament that held every possibility for a great future.
At just about 2 - 2.5 years old and 20 lbs, this very beautiful guy is just waiting waiting for positive input and guidance to be the best dog he's capable of being. We'd love to match Finn to a family that will spend lots of time with this very portable guy. He's a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere...and would love it.
Finn gets lots of attention when he's out and about...he's engaging (while a bit shy at first) and as sweet as can be. He's also extremely eye-catching...he appears to be a Wheaten/Cairn.. but we would never swear to it. He's just an adorable and fun scruffy Terrier that's irresistible!
When Finn turns that gentle look in your direction (with those amazing dark and expressive eyes), you can't help but smile at his adorable ways. You can see a bit of a sign that this pup has had difficult times. But not for him to be negative..a smile and a wag is more Finn's style. It's clear that he is working on leaving any pain behind.
Farfel's Rescue is searching for an adult family for Finn. It''s not that he doesn't like young kids..it just appears that Finn is more comfortable around adult energy. A retired couple or individual would be perfect for this guy. He would thrive on the time and attention that retirees often put into their pets. Finn, once bonded, will be a loyal and positive companion....that makes him very easy to spend time with just enjoying the wonders of life in Colorado. Finn enjoys time with dogs who are gentle, but doesn't really care about interacting. He's a very calm guy who prefers to spend his time getting belly rubs and enjoying his family.
Finn appears to be a low-shedding guy and will therefore require a commitment to grooming and great nutrition to keep his coat cottony-soft and matt-free.
Finn will be arriving on transport in Denver on Wednesday 4/19/17. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
