If you are interested in meeting or adopting Star, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org.

Star came to Utah animal Advocacy on a transport from a shelter where her owner surrendered her. When she was brought to the shelter she was severely emaciated and had a large wound along her back, she spent 2 months there being treated. When she finally made it to Utah she was not in much better shape and was hospitalized for a few days. About two months later Star is now dong so well and looking for her forever home.

Star has been through a lot in her short life, because of this she does have some anxiety that she will need help to overcome. She is very sweet once she gets to know you, but if you are a new person she is very scared. The fosters parents have found that being around other dogs really helps Star with meeting new people and her anxiety. We feel Star would do best with at lest one other k-9 family member in the home.

Star is smart but still has a puppy attention span. She is doing very well with her house training, and generally keeps to chewing her toys. Star is a very well rounded girl. She loves to run in the yard and play with the other dogs, lay down inside and chew a toy, and even jump up and cuddle her people. Star is very submissive and has gotten along with every dog she has met so far. She is really timid so anything new or loud scares her a little at first. Once she settles in she will let you know someone is at the door with a good bark. She likes to try to play with the cats, but sometimes just needs a reminder to be careful. She is trained with basic commands, but will pick up on other training quickly.

Star has been spayed, current on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm and also micro chipped.
